MR. AMITAVA GHOSH
Amitava Ghosh, an industry veteran in the education and training sectors, is a CEO – Consulting & Training at Eduspark International, which is planning to create a benchmark in training and education industry, globally. Previously he was Director in GEMS Skills (part of GEMS Education, which runs international schools and is the largest K-12 school education chain).
Prior to that, Amitava was with the Reliance Group where he spent over a decade with Reliance HR Services (RHRS) and NIS Sparta Ltd. as Chief Operating Officer. While founding and conceptualizing RHRS, he provided vision and thrust, creating a world-class talent enterprise of immense scale. NIS Sparta, on the other hand is a leader and a pioneer in corporate training & consulting in India and has a list of enviable clients, such as Coke, Pepsi, P&G, HUL, ITC, PWC, Tata Communications, Titan, Maruti, Exide, ICICI, IBM, Xerox and Microsoft on the private sector side and, SBI, Indian Railways, SAIL, ONGC, NTPC, on the government side. In his earlier roles with Reliance Group, he also led the Mumbai power distribution business of Reliance Energy, driving change management with Mckinsey. He was a key member in orchestrating the company’s transformation from BSES, the erstwhile avatar to Reliance Energy.
Before his association with the Reliance Group, Amitava was the Managing Director of Aptech Worldwide, in South East Asia, where under his leadership Aptech became an IT partner to various governments and evolved far beyond being a training company.
Amitava is a Bachelor of Engineering from Jadavpur University, Calcutta and a postgraduate from IIM Calcutta. He regularly contributes to print and electronic media and is an engaging speaker in various forums. As a connoisseur of culture, he was a correspondent for All India Radio and a trained Rabindrasangeet vocalist. He loves soccer too and supports his wife, who is a professional Odissi dancer in her cultural pursuit.
