I am a widely experienced training professional with an experience of over 20 years. I have had the privilege to train across various Industries such as IT, Telecom, Banking and Insurance. I started my career in 1991 as an English Trainer and then in 1993 moved to Sales and finally into Training once again in 1997. In these years as a Corporate Trainer I have conducted a variety of business impacting training interventions across various levels. My qualifications include BA (Hons.) in English, Certification in the Psychometric Tool DISC, Coaching, SPIN (Sales Training Program), Other Leadership Programs. Organizational Development related Certification in Competency Mapping and Assessment and Development Centres. My strong consultative abilities to plan and deliver exceptional people development initiatives have been appreciated in my previous organizations. This comes from the ability to analyze and understand business needs and deliver customized interventions to maximize the impact.
My training career started just as I was fresh out of College when I started training Professionals in English Language. During my stint in Sales, I continued to train in personality development. I finally moved fully into training with the Telecom Industry where I was responsible for the Employee Development function. Amitava Ghosh, an industry veteran in the education and training sectors, is a CEO – Consulting & Training at Eduspark International, which is planning to create a benchmark in training and education industry, globally. Previously he was Director in GEMS Skills (part of GEMS Education, which runs international schools and is the largest K-12 school education chain).
Prior to that, Amitava was with the Reliance Group where he spent over a decade with Reliance HR Services (RHRS) and NIS Sparta Ltd. as Chief Operating Officer. While founding and conceptualizing RHRS, he provided vision and thrust, creating a world-class talent enterprise of immense scale. NIS Sparta, on the other hand is a leader and a pioneer in corporate training & consulting in India and has a list of enviable clients, such as Coke, Pepsi, P&G, HUL, ITC, PWC, Tata Communications, Titan, Maruti, Exide, ICICI, IBM, Xerox and Microsoft on the private sector side and, SBI, Indian Railways, SAIL, ONGC, NTPC, on the government side. Amitava is a Bachelor of Engineering from Jadavpur University, Calcutta and a postgraduate from IIM Calcutta. As a connoisseur of culture, he was a correspondent for All India Radio and a trained Rabindrasangeet vocalist. He loves soccer too and supports his wife, who is a professional Odissi dancer in her cultural pursuit.
